Error msg "FileSystemRoot" low disk space (Solved)

Post by icemeister » Mon Nov 05, 2018 8:07 pm

I am getting This error and would like to know what it means and how to fix it. The volume "file system Root" has only 104.0 mb disk space remaining. ignore or examine. Any way to fix this message.
Thanks

The way to fix it is to free up some space. Try the commands I gave here: viewtopic.php?p=1543983#p1543983

OT: is it just me, or does there seem to be a lot of "low/no space" posts lately?

Maybe it's the season - as the days get shorter people spend more time on their computers, filling them up. :D

I do not know if it fixed the problem yet but i did find that Timeshift was consuming all of my HD in a very short time. How can one use this feature and have it be efficient?
thanks for the input

verify your filters, make sure you're not archiving mounted partitions

I created a separate partition for the Timeshift snapshots, then changed my Timeshift settings to use that location.
25 GB should be big enough.
