(SOLVED) How do i install Mate task manager

Post by MateoEstradaR »

I'm actually using the xfce version of linux mint, but i prefer the mate task manager. How can i replace the xfce default task manager? Thanks.

I too have Xfce. Have you tried out Gnome-System-Monitor? It's quite useful and is in Software Manager. There's also a Mate-system-monitor.

Can't find Mate Task Manager in Software Manager nor Synaptic Manager.

Check the list of Startup Applications. You must have put the xfce task manager there yourself. By default it is not launched automatically.
Provided you find xfce task manager in the Startup Application list, disable it.
If you like you can add mate-system-monitor instead.
