I like many musical instruments. One of my favorites is the old steel guitar. There was an instrumental song in 1959 which was a pop #1 song back then. It was named "Sleep Walk". When I'm working on any of my four computers (2 desktop towers, 2 laptops), I usually have this song playing in the background since I can loop it. Here is a cover song which show cases the lap steel guitar in this song.

If you haven't heard compositions by Jerry Goldsmith, you are missing some of the finest music ever written. You can check Wikipedia for a full list of his accomplishments. He found a home, so to speak, with Star Trek. He composed the theme for Star Trek - The Motion Picture which was used on Star Trek - The Next Generation. He also composed the theme for Star Trek Voyager, arguably the best intro from any of the Star Trek television shows. He composed the themes for Patton, Capricorn One, and Total Recall (the one with Arnie, not that wussy 2012 remake), just to name a few. His music is exquisite.

My niece, today a beautiful 20 years old, constantly asks me things about the 60s and 70s. Everything about Jimmies: Hendrix, Page, Morrison etc. pp
Driven by my niece, I have discovered Youtube as a source of my young people's wishes unfulfilled due to lack of money.

All 60-year-olds are allowed to laugh and my 80-year-old neighbour is certainly happy about my music system:

Been listening to a lot of remasters of old stuff that originally came out on LP. They ruined the CDs by just using the vinyl masters, which were tweaked for the foibles of phono reproduction. Now they've finally been fixed. The bass isn't all compressed and the treble isn't juiced up. Layla is a revelation and All Night Long sounds even better than the 12" single.
