Tessa Release File does not Exist! (SOLVED)
Hello, my problem started out of the blue and consists of me updating. Every time I check for updates via manager or command line, the error "The repository 'http://archive.canonical.com tessa Release' does not have a Release file." appears. I tried repairing the merge list, which did nothing, as well as switched to different mirrors. I have ran out of ideas due to my limited knowledge of Linux and I thank you for taking your time viewing this.

Re: Tessa Release File does not Exist!

Try: open Software sources (from Mint menu or Update manager menu - edit - software sourcesACFireTypeMaster wrote: ⤴Sat Jan 12, 2019 1:17 pmHello, my problem started out of the blue and consists of me updating. click the Restore default settings bar/button then click ok to reload the cache. If this succeeds then it may benefit to open both Mirrors: Main (Tessa) and Base (Bionic) and let system determine the fastest mirror based on your location, select that and again click ok to reload cache.
If this doesn't change the error we can also try some commands in terminal to fix it, but will need more specifics from you and will do good to start by getting some more environment info. Please open terminal, then copy this command
inxi -Fxzr
and paste into terminal then hit enter. Copy all those results and paste in between Code blocks you can create by click the </> button (top left of reply edit box). Thanks!edit to add: I see you have tried alt mirrors, if not done a "Restore default settings" though then do please attempt it. If fail, let's get a better understanding of the error(s).
Run
sudo apt update
in terminal and copy al result back into your next reply, as with inxi results please paste report into Code blocks (the </> button, top left)-
