Ubuntu to Mint

Post by Julchad46 »

Hi everyone,
I'm Julian from glorious Devon in England. Been a Linux Ubuntu user for more than 10 years so very familiar with the Linux OS. It's served me well but kept reading about Linux Mint becoming one of the most popular OS so decided to jump ship for a change. I'm glad I did. I've still got alot to learn about the OS.

Hello, Julian. Welcome to Mint!

Though while I am not completely Windows free, Mint 19.0 Cinnamon is my daily driver on an iMac 9.1 that I got for cheap. I too have tried Ubuntu and even Zorin. Mint is superior and quite configurable. I'm never going back.

Awesome! Welcome to Mint. I also switched my laptop back to Mint last week, after deserting back to Windows a few years ago. Now, I am reunited with Mint family, using LMDE! :D :D :D

Welcome to Linux Mint.

As you are used to Ubuntu I do not think your transition to Linux Mint will be too hard. Both are fine OSwith some different characteristics.
