Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
Thanks for assist, everyone. After quite a few failures and a fair amount of searching, it all came down to a few lines in a terminal. I'm up and running, and contributing.
Cheers.
Cheers.

I created one, yes. I should be able to add 1.5 million points in 24hrs.

catweazel,
that is great news, as the points will help with the push to get to the top 100.
Great to have you aboard.
Best regards Keith

We are getting one heck of a folding team here. I like this, only 26 more months of points like this from me though. After that I am out of the navy no more free electricity. I will definitely be rocking a single card after that point.

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
I have solar power so donating the excess to science is far better value than the paltry US 3c per kilowatt I get from the power company whom, I will add, have the right royal cheek to charge me US 30c a kilowatt if I need it back. lol, money-grubbing mongrels.

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
Shame but those months are still going to be of great benefit, even carrying on with one card after that is still commendable.
equivalent to 23p (UK) per KW/h. About a third more than the lower tariffs here. Great to see you climbing the stats list, it is a real bonus for the cause & the Mint team.

Gotta laugh when I think back to my first 1 million points in fah. It took almost a year and catweazel knocks it out in an afternoon.

Alright, got my Radeon VII today. Awaiting water-block before installing. I do not like Noise, I hear those fans scream so it will be a few days.
Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
What’s that? I can’t hear you over my fans.
I have a 1070ti on Mint 19.1 and the 390xx drivers out performing 1080fe by 100k ppd on Mint 18.3 and the 384xx drivers. I tried to upgrade to 390xx on that rig but it was a bad effort and reverted back. I’ll probably boot back to windows and make some of those points up over the next days but really need to find the time to fix it.

104th, there are very few people producing as many points as us until you get less than 50th place. our average over the last few days has been like 8 million PPD. Thats a lot of points. I can't wait to see where we are next year this time.
Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
Hi all,
I see that we now have 13 members folding for the team.
Welcome to all of you. We are going up stronger than ever.
Best regards Keith

Less than a month and we shall see the top 100.
Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
Hi all,
I have just noticed that my GPU was running with a lower temp. Looking a bit closer I can see that it has dropped out of running the high point scoring FahCore 0x22 and was now back on 0x21. I hope that it picks the 22 series again soon.
It was good while it lasted.
Best regards Keith

@tinca:
I noticed on mine that those large WUs I've done (a shamefully few of) with high points aren't there at present either; I seem to be doing small WUs as of the past week or so. I thought the allocation might be based on upload intervals, but now I'm not so sure? Thought the extra WUs were due to an accidental reboot speeding things up a bit at first, then noticed the lower points per WU.

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
Yep seems the core 22 units have become scarce. Let’s hope they are scarce for the teams we’re chasing as well.
Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
the 1080ti were at like 1.5 mill a piece, now they are back to a mill a piece. all my Nvidia cards have been hit.
Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
so every one is missing 3pm on 12 April? What happened there?
Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
I think that the beta stuff is back up. one of the 1080ti that was down to 1.1mill is back up to 1.5mill. can anyone confirm this.
