If you're running Mint 18, then it's the same as Ubuntu 16.04. The page says that other OSen are not supported but it might work even if you have Mint 19, which is based on Ubuntu 18.04.

Brand new laptop and I installed Mint 19. Oh well. Hopefully they'll update their stuff because it won't work.
Thanks

Re: Ivideon ip cam software for Linux
I just got this from Ivideon.
According to our data, Mint 19 version is based on Ubuntu 18.04 build, which at the moment cannot be used to install our server software (it doesn't support GKSU, that is required for proper work of Ivideon Server application). From our side we should admit, that future versions of our Ivideon Server application will be compatible with Ubuntu 18.04 system, most probably it'll also work with Mint 19. At the moment we can't tell you the exact date of release of this updated version, it might take some time.
Please mind, that at the moment our Ivideon Server application can be installed to the following Linux systems, so you can freely use it with one of them:
Debian 7
Debian 8
Debian 9
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Ubuntu 17.10
As soon as a new Ubuntu 18.04 (Mint 19) compatible version of our Ivideon Server is released, our specialists will inform you upon this!

Re: Ivideon ip cam software for Linux
I simply added a gksu ppa and the ivideon ppa and it worked fine. Note that only the server part requires gksu, not the client.
This is the ppa I used: https://launchpad.net/~mark-pcnetspec/+ ... buntu/gksu
Keep in mind it is "unsupported" and "untrusted".
