OTR...

At the moment I'm listening to "Vanishing Point" randomly mixed with "X minus One and Dimension X".

Truly do enjoy listening to these and recall many of them from my youth. Hiding my crystal set (at night) under my pillow with a wire clipped to the gutter outside my window. I also remember turning my bedroom light on and checking under the bed when certain ones played on my imagination. LOL

This thread gave me a few songs to check out! :D My playlist for this evening contains these albums: Everything Is Fine - Josh Turner, Together Again - Buck Owens, Solid Gold Hits - Beastie Boys, and some miscellaneous Glenn Miller songs. And yes, I have very varied musical interests! Some people don't think Tommy Dorsey and AC/DC belong in the same playlist! (Hint: I'm not one of them!)

Classical music and jazz are my preferred musical genres BUT I was browsing through Youtube videos, as one does, and came across what I thought would be a normal recording of songs from Phantom of the Opera by a group I didn't know. So had a look and listen.

I was sufficiently impressed to search further and watched and
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_B90VnG6FR0
which has a lot of scenes from Lord of the Rings in the background. I enjoyed this one, too!

Then I saw that they had performed at the Wembley Arena so just had to watch that also

Heavy Metal will never usurp my love of classical music and jazz and I was
surprised that I did quite enjoy it. Wonders will never cease.

Ah! yes I liked that. Try this one. You may enjoy it. Not only is she a joy to watch, she has a beautiful voice, too! And the comedy is excellent.

Season 3 of Stranger Things. Ok, it's a TV show, but I rarely watch, just listen whilst I'm on the computer.

Ever since my late father introduced me to the sea when I was 8 years old, from that time forward I always felt the sea was in my blood and it was my destiny. I'm just lucky I found my calling in the maritime industry. Now that I'm retired from the maritime industry, I miss the feel of the deck of a boat under my feet when I was at the helm and the gently swaying of the boat which gently rocked me to sleep in my bunk during long haul runs.

As I rose through the ranks of my profession, this song's lyrics below reminds me of my life's mark at sea when I was much, much, very much younger.

Alan Parsons - "As Lights Falls".
