Is there any reason why copying files to or from the server takes twice as long (47MB/sec) from a Linux Mint (LMDE 3, 18.3 Cinnamon, 19.1 Cinnamon) machine than a Windows 7 computer (80 – 100MB/sec)?
The main computer is a dual boot LMDE 3/Windows 7. On the LMDE side I also have a Window 7 vm. Transferring files from the vm to the server is still more than twice as fast.
The server is running Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon with all drives formatted ext4.
Transferring files from drive to drive on the same computer (LMDE 3, LM 18.3, 19.1 Cinnamon) is crazy fast. It’s only across the network transfer times slow waaaaaaay down.
