SOLVED FOR NOW - What software controls input of name for creation of new folders

Can someone tell me what software controls the displaying of the box which gives the ability to assign a name
to a folder which is being newly created - see attached screenshot ?

I get the input box as shown of the screenshot for "Brown-1" (and also for every other folder on my hard drive) but do NOT
get the input box on sub-folder "Spypoint".

The reason I am asking this is because I have just ONE sub-folder (see above sentence) on my hard drive on which I do NOT get the display of
the box which allows me to assign a new name for a newly created sub-folder - see my other posting at:

Caja if you're using MATE
Thunar if you're using Xfce

You probably don't have the permissions to write to that folder, so you can't get the naming box.

Can you post the results of the following commands:

Where is the subfolder Spypoint located? You probably don't have the permissions to write to that folder, so you can't get the naming box.

It is located at /home/Pictures/Spypoint

Previous to yesterday when I tried to create sub-folder "2019-07-05" for some new pictures that I wanted to import off of my trail camera
SD card, I got the naming function just fine, each and every time that I attempted and created a new sub-folder, it was ONLY when I tried
to create a new one yesterday that I did not get the naming function prompt. And as I said the naming function pops up on every other folder
other than the Spypoint sub-folder.

I am using Mate. Earlier today I tried fixing the problem by doing a complete removal of everything related
to CAJA and then went back and reinstalled everything related to CAJA, still did not fix the problem ???

Is there a way that I can edit just the permissions on JUST/ONLY that one subfolder ?

It is, I am just referencing /home instead of /home/wpshooter.

And as I said, the function works just great/fine on every other place on the hard drive, except for that one sub-folder. I just tried
it on download, documents and ISO sub-folders works great.

I am going to create another sub-folder under Pictures and also a sub-folder under Pictures/Spypoint and see if problem presents
itself there.

After doing the above, I checked and the naming function for the creation of sub-folders worked fine on the 2 different experiment folders I created
from terminal.

Problem seems to be strictly isolated to the /Pictures/Spypoint folder.

Run this command exactly as printed (copy and past it to the Terminal) to change the ownership of all folders and files under Pictures:

sudo chown -R -v $USER:$USER $HOME/Pictures

Now check your subfolders in Pictures to see if they have an X on them or not. Right-click on one of them and see if there's any message about the folder permissions being inconsistent.

Sorry, but yes, actually I had already looked at the permissions on both Spypoint and Brown-1 and permissions, check marks, etc. all seem exactly the same.
