Maybe I shouldn't but I just assume that everyone understands that everything is a sub of the /home folder, i.e.
/home/Pictures/Spypoint is same as /home/wpshooter/Pictures/Spypoint - just don't see where typing in my wpshooter
should be of any real consequence.
It matters because are not the same. They are different directories with different permissions.
root owns /home, so you can't make a directory in it (like /home/Pictures) unless you're root/sudo, which seemed to be the original problem, but user wpshooter owns /home/wpshooter, so you can make directories in it, namely /home/wpshooter/Pictures/ should be no problem.
Also if you put a file in /home/Pictures/Spypoint/somefile, the file won't be in /home/wpshooter/Pictures/Spypoint.
