How to change default files ICON

Post by Cortogil » Thu Jul 11, 2019 9:14 am

Hi, I know how to change a specific files ICON by going to FILE > PROPERTIES > CLICK ON ICON AND CHOOSE A NEW ONE.

BUT Is there a way with a command line to change a specific ICON to the one a want for all files. ( instead of changing them one by one )

Exemple right row I have this ICON for PDF files
file:///home/gil/Pictures/Selection_004.png
file:///home/gil/Pictures/Selection_004.png
Selection_003.png (8.85 KiB) Viewed 411 times

I would like all my PDF file to have this ICON
Selection_004.png
Selection_004.png (5.54 KiB) Viewed 411 times

looks like your .pdf is showing as a thumbnail and not an icon. in nemo > edit > plugins > preview select Show thumbnails > Never

Perfect... it has worked ! :D

EXCEPT for webpage desktop shortcut...I would like Firefox ICON instead of the HTML one.
