Just installed it on my second machine over MX Linux 18.3 after it refused to boot after installing nvidia drivers.

No such problem with Mint!

I did find one small bug. I've always been able to highlight the Navigation/Address Bar in Firefox with one left click, instead of two left clicks, by changing the default in "about:config":

which by default is "False" and I change it to "True".

which by default is "True" and I change it to "False".

However, the two changed codes above will not highlight the Navigation/Address Bar with one left click anymore. But I will admit, Firefox is not my default browser.

All the reported problems with bugs in LM 19.1 Xfce seem to have been solved. Tina is just wonderful and a breeze of fresh air for all those newbies how just want a stable, smooth running version of LinuxMint which will suit their (lightweight ) needs...

Just got done with my 2nd upgrade, this time on Cinnamon. I feel like I have a new pair of glasses - the font rendering is amazing! Other than a few applets that haven't been upgraded yet, this was about as smooth of an upgrade as I've ever done. Well done, everyone!

stupid question, but I have 3 computers, each one on a different version : Cinnamon, MATE and XFCE. I just applied upgrade to 19.2.
Both Cinnamon and MATE switched back to the Ubuntu font default, but XFCE didn't - despite the fact that it is announced in the 'what changed' blog page of XFCE - is it a bug ?

I followed the instructions to try and upgrade from 19.1 to 19.2 but the upgrade selection does not appear under the "Edit" menu in the Update Manager. I did all the presteps (ie timeshift, refresh update manager, install any updates, etc....).

Any reason why it's not showing the 19.2 upgrade selection in Update Manager? Thanks.

Try rebooting. My desktop had a kernel update that came through, but wasn't active yet. After rebooting to make the current kernel active, the upgrade option to 19.2 became available.

Try rebooting. My desktop had a kernel update that came through, but wasn't active yet. After rebooting to make the current kernel active, the upgrade option to 19.2 became available.

I think this was the issue. When I booted up the computer and looked at the update selection, the 19.2 was now there. Thanks for the solution.

It may be a good idea to put some kind of warning into the update manager as in this situation when it says everything is up to date, it's not really true.

I waited long enough. I upgraded from Linux mint 19.1 Xfce and all went well, runs the same. I am surprised it still has Gimp 2.8 and not 2.10. The only difference I see is it says Linux mint 19.2 Xfce instead of 19.1.

Not surprising, as the upstream code base (Ubuntu 18.04) remains the same. As you can see in your sources list.

If you want the latest GIMP, install its Flatpak (by means of Software Manager).

I believe (I could be wrong) installing Flatpak's doesn't require authentication due to a polkit rule. Only adding Flatpak support in the first place requires/required it

That has never been my experience. By not requiring a password makes Linux mint as unsecure as Windows. All a hacker has to do to run malicious code is go through the Software Manager to deploy it. I just checked. It also is not asking for a password for any software, not just Flatpak.

Okay, your issue is different, and quite troubling unless it's the sudo timer (for lack of a better way of describing it.)
