Hello, kaiancode.

As your inxi report shows, your wifi adapater is down.

Code: Select all

Network:
Device-1: Qualcomm Atheros AR9287 Wireless Network Adapter vendor: Foxconn T77H167.00 driver: ath9k v: kernel
  port: efa0 bus ID: 02:00.0
IF: wlp2s0 state: down mac: <filter>
Please, check that you have not unwillingly disabled it by pressing the hardware switch on your machine.
What the keyboard shortcut to toggle wifi on/off is depends on your machine.
Here it is <blue FN><PrtScr>.

Please, post the output of sudo rfkill list. (You cannot change the wifi hardware switch using rfkill, but you can determine its status).

Regards,
Karl

Try the fix found on this page https://www.smarthomebeginner.com/how-t ... untu-1104/
Also make sure your wireless encryption is set to WPA2-PSK.
Some have also reported they needed to disable secure boot to get it to work.
Good Luck.

Is there a small switch on the front or side of the laptop to enable wifi?

Looks hard blocked to me, which means: disabled by keyboard switch <Fn><F3> or even disabled in Bios. Could this be?

I tried, but it has no effect.

The key switch is not broken.
