Am a new user. Starting to convert all our 5 Windows systems to Linux. Running 19.2 Cinnamon on one now. We have 4 or 5 Canon Pixma Printers.
Question. Are there any drivers for these that would let us A. Print in Draft, and B. Have Print Preview as a regular option? Thanks.

Re: Canon Pixma: drivers, print preview
It would be very unusual for any system which uses drivers (free or non-free) or operates without drivers not to offer Draft as a printing option. Print Preview is a function of an application, not a driver.vbqyf wrote: ⤴Sun Aug 11, 2019 9:18 pmAm a new user. Starting to convert all our 5 Windows systems to Linux. SOLVED: Canon Pixma: drivers, print preview
Thanks. I did find drivers for both printer and scanner on Canon's site (had looked earlier but couldn't find for some reason). It is a tarred .gz file so will unpack and see what the install instructions are. If any problem, will come back and post new. In the meantime, marking SOLVED. M.
Re: Canon Pixma: drivers, print preview
There should be a .deb on the canon sites for all canon printers and scanners. You have to scroll down until you find the .deb files for the printer and scanner which is scangear.Richardj wrote: ⤴Wed Aug 14, 2019 2:05 pmCanon do have printer drivers for linux, this link is for the canon europe site https://www.canon-europe.com/support/co ... ers/pixma/
