[SOLVED] Lenovo flex 2-15 Wireless not working

Post by Sult »

Hi guys,

I am a newbie, sorry for my basic questions. I looked for an answer in the forum but nothing really worked.

I installed Mint on a Lenovo flex 2-15, everything worked perfectly apart from the Wireless. I have the bcmwl-kernel-source (6.30.223.271) driver version. The card should be a BCM43142.

Can you please help me solve the problem?

Please post the results for the following commands. Here is how:

Open a terminal window (Ctrl-Alt-t). Make it fullscreen to avoid unneeded linebreaks or chopped lines. Execute the following commands, one at a time.
rfkill list all
iwconfig
lsusb
lspci
Mark the complete text output which each command will display with your mouse.
Press the keyboard shortcut <Shift><Ctrl>C to copy the marked text into the clipboard.
Enclose the results between the code markers by selecting </> from the mini toolbar above the textbox where you type your reply then paste <Ctrl>V them in your reply between the code markers.

The results will help us to help you.

Do as Larry says. You might also need to disable secure boot in BIOS.
