Tiling not working porperly

Post by james-r »

Using Mint 19.2 Xfce, fresh installation.
I suspect the issue is with the terminal: you can see how the file manager and xed fit properly while there is space around the two terminal windows.
Any tips about fixing this?

The Xfce terminal has a supposed graphical resolution (hx+rx*x, hy+ry*y) for some given (hx,hy), text-resolution (rx, ry) and character width, height (x,y). I.e., still supposedly (not at an Xfce system) adjust either (rx, ry) or (x,y), terminal size in characters or font size, aiming for a combination that adds up to (gx,gy), the graphical resolution of the part of your screen you aim to be tiled. That, or stop caring.

Thank you for the answer. I'll have it as a reference but for the moment I installed Cinnamon over Xfce.
