Your wifi is hard blocked. Is there a physical switch in front or an Fn & F key combo that will turn it on?
Maybe turn off secure boot in Bios also.

What does this show:

Code: Select all

 mokutil --sb-state

This just worked for someone in another thread, so let's see if it works for you:

Code: Select all

 sudo apt-get purge bcmwl-kernel-source broadcom-sta-common broadcom-sta-source && sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer
Reboot

Still no luck? Run:

Code: Select all

 sudo modprobe b43
Reboot

I purchased a laptop a few yeas ago and the wireless worked when I booted it to Windows to shrink the partition in order to setup a dual boot.

However when I installed and booted Mint the wireless was dead.

The wireless is toggled with the Fn+F2 key combination - you might have a similar situation,,,

Is there any way to turn your wifi light off/on? I'm confused how it can be on, yet say you are hard blocked at the same time.

There does appear to be a physical switch:

Toggle it. :wink:
