Hello, new to mint 19.2
Hello, new to mint 19.2
Hello,
I am new to Linux mint 19.2, Moving from windows 7. I have mint as a dual boot on my computer.
I am not very good at computers, know just enough to get what I need to do done. Basic searching, email, online banking and some file work, docs photo's etc
So far I have been able to get my old Brother printer to print and scan, with the help of a member on this forum, Thanks.
I am now trying to figure out how to get all my info from widows 7 into mint and then be able to remove windows 7 from computer and have only mint.
I am a little apprehensive (or nervous) about doing this, since I know once I remove windows os, I wont be able to go back and get anything.
I have my documents and photo's on a flash drive, my needed office 2007 excel spread sheets on a flash drive,, quicken back ups on flash drive and mint 19.2 on a flash drive to reinstall. I also have my computer (windows7) backed up on a external drive, but don't know if this matters once windows 7 is gone from computer.
So far I have learned that if I plug in a flash with excel spread sheet, I can actually make changes to it, seems to open with Libre office.. But I have not figured out how to install any info from flash drives..
I will have many questions in this process of windows to mint and hope you have patience.
