and the Lorem Ipsum is also there. Unfortunately not the whole epic - could this be supplemented? Then I finally learn it by heart.

Lorem Ipsum.png
I gave up Latin when I left year 9, why would I care what Lorem Ipsum has to say, I'm not even a Catholic. :D
I am such an external...If I have to struggle with an Opstipation I take a very detailed treatise of their dogmas in book form with me to the secret place. Laughter helps...

It's a scrambled form of Latin and the meaning is never relevant. It's just a placeholder text. So you can stop caring... or not caring, as you please. :)

The text in question simply makes a strong impression, and has done so for thirty years. Do you happen to know if the generator for LibreOffice still exists? I didn't find it in the LibreOffice extensions. I remember, there was a generator for OpenOffice that did the same in German and English too.

I like to work offline, but it's funny https://loremipsum.io/

BTW: https://www.wordhippo.com/what-is/dynam ... a0f8f.html

A German example of the loremipsum on-line-generator:
Add some oomph to your mockups with a bit of Bavarian. Featuring regular lorem ipsum style Bavarian text, with the option for extra oomph in the form of expletives.

Bavaria ipsum dolor sit amet Radler Schneid vui huift vui ognudelt i mechad dee Schwoanshaxn Zwedschgndadschi a bissal wos gehd ollaweil. Measi a ganze es i mog di fei aasgem, Blosmusi. Schmankal zwoa Ramasuri Edlweiss. Wia vo de Weiznglasl wos, imma hogg di hera Guglhupf! Schorsch Spotzerl schnacksln Weiznglasl vui gschmeidig a ganze auf der Oim, da gibt’s koa Sünd, etza!
Nicht ganz zufriedenstellend.

Thanks. By the way, by "the text in question," I meant, of course, the Lorem. I'm sure mine is as phony as they come...

this laptop I am using is a super duper cat's meow piece of hardware, Win10 of course.
the OEM SSD is setup as RAID, so Linux would not install on it.

found a 2nd drive tray inside of it, and plopped in a new SSD there, and wallah! 19.3 Cinnamon.

I am so much more comfortable with 19.3 Cinnamon than Win10....
I set the laptop up to just boot direct into 19.3 w/o asking me for any instructions.

and yes, the screen display is beautiful, and consistent all the time.

There's nothing to grin about. When I work, I have a neutral gray background. Must be, I live from image editing and drawing, I can't be distracted by gimmicks.

Thanks for the feedback - and of course for you and all forum members:

Merry Christmas !

And if you measure the width of your monitor with a folding rule and give me the exact measurements, I will calculate the effective resolution - as a Christmas gift special to you. :D

and if you pour the small, heartfelt Icons regularly... Who knows !

Shutter doesn't play nice with HiDPI. There isn't anything we can do about that.

Too bad, but with some programs, such as Zim, I get along very well without Icons. Even with Mirage, the Icons are not really necessary. Unfortunately, everything is small with Shutter as with GoldenDict.

Unfortunately I lot of apps under Linux still aren't HiDPI friendly. Many qt apps and no gtk apps support it. It's getting better but there are still major ones like gimp and inkscape that need help :)

I have found an alternative Icon Set for GIMP 2.8. This works perfectly. I also modified InkScape (I just don't know how anymore...)

My laptop upgrade from 19.2 to 19.3 didn't go real smooth. I lose a lot of programs I had in my lower 'panel'. Firefox also had all my plug-in missing :?: After restoring everything I'm happy now

Just for fun. If you enter my unspeakable sentence In silvis obscura populus habitantium liber qui pro legere Lorem Ipsum scriptum! in DuckduckGo or Quant you will end up on this Site. Google likes me less... Well ! I do not them either...
I would therefore like to apologize, if members from this Mint Forums are associated with dark forests and strange people who likes to read the Lorem Ipsum...

Well, Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia did not break or undo my Bluetooth driver fix. That is a big plus. That new shutdown and start up screen I'm not sure about. I liked the old one under 19.2 Tina. Being able to disable the touch pad when a mouse is connected will be useful.
