Anki is not starting

I've recently dowloaded mint 19.1 cinnamon on my pc and attempted to download Anki from the app manager. The download goes well and the app is listed as installed, but when I try to open it nothing happens.

Sorry I can't help you but I also have this problem - double clicking the app icon results in nothing whatsoever. Did you find a solution to this? Thanks.

I found a solution for me at least - put this into a terminal:

sudo apt-get install python3-distutils
