Linux Mint 19.3 no reconoce micrófono externo

Post by osgradel »

Envio algunas capturas:

Hi osgradel, and welcome to the forum.

Your dmesg | grep snd output shows no inputs available. This is not uncommon with those combo ports. See if this adds a Microphone input to your settings:

Code: Select all

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/mic-fix.conf <<<'options snd-hda-intel model=alc283-sense-combo'
Reboot and test.
------------------

Code: Select all

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/mic-fix.conf <<<'options snd-hda-intel model=alc283-sense-combo'
Reiniciar y probar.

¿Alguna otra idea?.

Hi, MrEen, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it didn't work, still no sound. dmesg | grep snd keeps returning the same output than yesterday. Any other idea?

Try this one instead:

Code: Select all

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/mic-fix.conf <<<'options snd-hda-intel model=alc283-headset'
This might add a Headset Microphone to your Sound Settings that I'm hoping will work for input.

Again, reboot and test.

----------------------

Prueba este en su lugar:

Code: Select all
sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/mic-fix.conf <<<'options snd-hda-intel model=alc283-headset'

Again, thank you for your response. It doesn't work either, and dmesg | grep snd shows the same result.

Okay, I'll give you a few more that might add it:

Code: Select all

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/mic-fix.conf <<<'options snd-hda-intel model=headset-mic'

Code: Select all

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/mic-fix.conf <<<'options snd-hda-intel model=headset-mode'

Code: Select all

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/mic-fix.conf <<<'options snd-hda-intel model=dell-headset-multi'
Reboot between each test.
-------------------------------

Code: Select all

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/mic-fix.conf <<<'options snd-hda-intel model=headset-mic'

Code: Select all

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/mic-fix.conf <<<'options snd-hda-intel model=headset-mode'

Code: Select all

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/mic-fix.conf <<<'options snd-hda-intel model=dell-headset-multi'
Reiniciar entre cada prueba.

This is odd. Let's see the output of this command to see if there's more info pointing to the cause:

Code: Select all

dmesg | grep -C1 -E 'ALSA|HDA|sof|HDMI|snd[_-]|sound|hda.codec|hda.intel'
-------------------------

Code: Select all

dmesg | grep -C1 -E 'ALSA|HDA|sof|HDMI|snd[_-]|sound|hda.codec|hda.intel'

The only thing I spotted that was unusual was you're running PulseAudio 12. Did you install that in an attempt to fix this, as Mint comes with PulseAudio 11?

In all likelihood, this is beyond my capabilities and the only thing I can offer is raise a bug report. Here's the site with info on how to do that: https://www.alsa-project.org/wiki/Bug_Tracking

I'm sorry, but this is just a new issue for me.

In the terminal run apt install alsa-tools-gui followed by hdajackretask. When the program opens select ALC283 in the upper left corner. Then click on the Override checkbox for pin 0x21 and the checkbox for "Parser hints" Now double click on add_hp_mic until it says "yes"

Click on Apply now, then see if there's a headset mic option in your sound settings. If so, click on Install boot override.

I'm not going to run this through the translator, and the app is English only which will mess up the instructions quite a bit.

Tengo instalado pulseaudio 12 porque tengo instalado pulseeffects https://launchpad.net/~mikhailnov/+arch ... lseeffects

He hecho lo que me has dicho y obtengo este resultado:

I have pulseaudio 12 installed because I have pulseeffects installed https://launchpad.net/~mikhailnov/+arch ... lseeffects

I've done what you told me and I'm getting this result: Device or resource busy

EDIT: Try clicking on Install boot override anyway, then reboot and test. If it doesn't work, run hdajackretask and click on Remove boot override.

Darn. I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. I somewhat doubt the PulseAudio version is the issue.

Maldito.

No funciona.

It doesn't work. Thanks for the effort, I didn't think it could be that complicated.

Usually it's not this complicated, but I'm not certain what's causing this. It's possible a BIOS update might fix it. You could also try reinstalling the sound base with this command:

Code: Select all

apt install --reinstall alsa-base alsa-utils pulseaudio linux-sound-base libasound2

Code: Select all

apt install --reinstall alsa-base alsa-utils pulseaudio linux-sound-base libasound2

ok, reinstalling the sound base didn't work either, so I only have to update the BIOS, but I've never done it. Thanks for the effort, and if I dare to update it and it works, I'll say it. Thanks a lot for your time!
