Unable to update Linux Mint - SOLVED

Hello,
So, I tried to update Mint using this command: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
The result was this:

It's clear to me that my system failed to update, but I lack the skills to decipher the above.
Was the command I entered incorrect? If so, what is the correct command?

For the record, I've given up trying to get Wine to work (for use with Sketchup) and, based on my attempt to remove it from my system, I'm not even sure it's installed. I did find WineTricks installed, but I'm not sure what that program is, and therefore left it alone. In any event, any help would be appreciated.

Launch the application Software Sources and remove the WineHQ source.

Update Manager/Edit/Software Sources, look under PPA or Additional Repositories, and remove the Wine source there.

As Pjotr and others have said, the solution to the immediate problem is to remove WineHQ from Software Sources. You'll find that on Menu.

For the future, why are you using this command rather than Update Manager? Further, I think -y is bad practice, especially if you're new. Only takes a few seconds to review the proposed action. If you're going to use -y, I hope you have Timeshift setup and have done a trial restore or two.

As others have said, remove Wine if you don't want it. If you just want to fix the error message, try:

Not sure how you'd interpret that statement, were someone were to send it your way, but it feels an awful lot like an insult, from where I'm sitting. Not very pleasant.
For the record, I just went through every single word in the post to which you're referring, and nowhere is there any mention of whether updating my version of Mint is advisable, so...

Updating is always advisable. As is having one or two Timeshift snapshots (no more, in order to avoid excessive disk storage consumption) as backup, in case things go south.

In fact, as you're still running Mint 19 Tara, I recommend an in-place upgrade to Mint 19.3.

Is this a good place to have you define/explain an in-place upgrade, or would it be best to move this to a new thread?

Can be dealt with here.... Launch Update Manager and click Edit. An in-place upgrade option should be shown.

This method might necessitate you to perform an upgrade in stages, i.e. first to 19.1, then to 19.2, finally to 19.3.

Not very pleasant.

Conversely, it's darn frustrating to take the time to post, only to have that ignored. Also, while update and upgrade can be confused, just as people sometimes mix up imply and infer, in the context of this thread, update plainly meant what was described in the OP, for which my post was apt.

Moreover, even if you upgrade, the question of how to do updates correctly remains, as you later will be updating the upgraded system.
