Hi and welcome to the Mint Forums! :D

I think to be honest with Windows xp era machines (especially such early ones) you will be lucky to get a modern OS like Mint to work half-decently, if at all. I'd go for something like Anti-X or Puppy on those. Try Mint on your newer machines & I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Your 2002-era CPUs are likely 32-bit only and will probably also lack stuff like SSE3, SSE4 etc. which are required for a lot of modern processes including up-to-date browsers.

Do have fun with these old machines (like :I do) but don't expect anything later than say Mint 17.x to run on them.
