I am trying to install Mint 20 Cinnamon on KVM. The host is also a Mint 20 Cinnamon. Host works fine. I have also installed Mint 20 MATE and XFCE on KVM. Both work fine. But when I try to install Mint 20 Cinnamon on KVM, the cursor does no show up, so I have no way do proceed.
I've tried different options for mouse input, but none worked.
Since I am using exactly the same steps to install the three versions (Mate, Xfce and Cinnamon) and they are working great with the first two, I must supposed the problem has to do with the Cinnamon ISO itself.
Any hints?
Thank you

Re: Cursor does not show when Installing Mint 20 Cinnamon on KVM
Hello,
exact same problem for me !
but if you boot with option "compatibilty mode" ( select the option at grub )
the cursor works !
with poor performance, but at least it is useable.
Best Regards.

Hello,
Another way to make it work :
if you configure the KVM guest display mode to VNC ( not SPICE )
the problem does not accurs.
Best regards...

Re: Cursor does not show when Installing Mint 20 Cinnamon on KVM
Thank you all.
What I found out was that it works if I change video from QXL to virtio.
This is only necessary with cinnamon. QXL works fine both with MATE and XFCE.
Thank you all for your hints.
