Just installed Cassandra and everything is looking good. I love that minty and Frenchy look. (goes well with a bottle of champaigne). The installer/partitioner is much improved and I had no problems. Grub also was kind and recognized my other 2 Linux distros.

The 4 partitions (ext3) that Mint is not using show up as mounted partition icons on the desktop. Never had that before - is it normal for them to be there?

Update: Got rid of the partition icons with mintDesktop

For those how want to take if for a "test drive", try the VMware image.

And yes, Clem you and your group are putting together a very "Sweet" distro! You're making it easier for people to escape the "Borg" ;-) I've used Mint to bring a good number of people in from the Dark Side !!!!!!!!! Keep up the OUTSTANDING work, but don't get a big head

Seriously you've got a sweet distro that remains "clean" and isn't a "kitchen sink" distro.

Again for people wanting to take it for a test drive, he's a shot of the VMware image. All that is needed is VMware Player if you don't have Workstation.
