What was that LiveCd tool?

Post by screenshot »

does someone know what tool would have been used in 2012 or 2013 on a LiveCd, which basically only showed wifi networks in a totally regular text format and without any fancy Gui or graphs at all. and i think that it wasn't even any linux livecd, but a totally separate wifi scanning tool somehow...

now i looked at Kismet a bit and it has some weird color packets running around on the screen, but that tool probably only had max 2-3 colors (like blue, black and yellow perhaps lol; plus the regular white... and no graphs...)

now i tested them and those are definitely not the original scan tools, because it scanned everything in real time(even while driving) and i didn't even have to press any buttons. and networks without passwords were probably displayed in red color or smth

are you using Smartphone apps, or Linux Mint on a PC app?

I have a lot of Android apps on my phone.

While it may not be the specific tool that you were trying to find, it looks like the scan function in wavemon does that.
