I successfully backed up my Linux Mint Cinnamon laptop using Backups (DejaDup).
I was surprised to see that both Backups and DejaDup were running as shown at the bottom left running programs.
What I was even more surprised to see after finishing the backup and closing both applications is that DejaDup still featured in KSysGuard Process Table as well as a DejaDup icon in the bottom right panel where the time is located. Hovering over the icon shows "Preparing". It never gets any different.
Do I close the process? Will this also get rid of the icon? Will it comeback? How can I remove the icon permanently.
Thanks in anticipation - DejaDup is not using CPU but is taking up memory.

Re: Left over element of DejaDup
Does DejaDup still show up after relogs and/or restarts?

A good point - I have not tried a restart.
If it clears the issue, I will report that back.
If not - I am still puzzled.

Thanks Termy
Shutdown and restart got rid of that pesky icon.
Great suggestion!
