Giving it a shot
Hello. I'm an old guy living in Ecuador that is fed up with the corner that Windows 10 has put me in. My desire is to use something different whenever it is possible. As I mentioned before, I'm not exactly young. I'm a baby boomer so the old noggin doesn't work like it used to. So hopefully this forum will be willing to help me become an adequate user. See you around.

Welcome from a child of the 50s !I'm a baby boomer so the old noggin doesn't work like it used to
There are quite a lot of us floating around this forum who might not be 'fossilised', but feel like we're getting close.
And there are lots of people here who don;t give a damn about perceived age or perceived ability - only about enjoying relatively simple computing.
Have Fun, and anything you are not sure of - just do a search - and if you can't see the answer on the forum, ask. Someone will see it and most likely try to help. Some of us know the answers, some of us 'think' we know the answers. One way or another, you should find something useful D)
