I don't know if everything we do is GPL (to be honest most of it is actually without a license). If it's something we've done, don't even ask, use it as if it was yours.
That background and the logo were made by Carlos, he'll probably tell you the same but he's the one to ask.
As for me, I've never really believed in "property", especially when it was "intellectual".
