Administration message cannot grab mouse
Help --I am lost --problem is that whenever I try to use Administration I get-- a cannot grab your mouse message.

When you click on the Menu button look for small boxes in the top left of the menu. Remove those and see if that helps.

This also happened to me.
This is how i fixed it.
Open a terminal[Menu->Terminal]
and run this
click on apps->mintmenu
clear pin_menu checkbox
Lagagnon's method will also work.
