On Linux Mint 20.2 (Cinnamon 5,0.6), but perhaps in others too.
If the driver manager in the German version detects no additional drivers required it displays the checkmark. But the text says "Ihr Rechner benötigt einige zusätzliche Treiber." which translates to "requires some additional drivers" instead of "no additional drivers".
However, on the same machine, set to english it will say "no additional" correctly, so it is the German Translation.
Tested on two devices and a virtual machine. All show the same.

Re: Incorrect Translation for Driver Management [German]
Maybe it's saying that you need the German-Translation Driver, although obviously only when in fact set to German.
Makes sense to me. Please mark [SOLVED].

Re: Incorrect Translation for Driver Management [German]
The German translation for Treiberverwaltung (mintdrivers) does not contain the string
Not at all (überhaupt nicht). Check for yourself:

What it does contain is this string:
Which is the correct German translation for:
My guess is that you misread it. Human error by you.
Ihr Rechner benötigt einige zusätzliche Treiber.

Re: Incorrect Translation for Driver Management [German]
Seems a recent fix then; it's indeed as OP says on 20.2 as of today:
Code: Select all
$ msgunfmt /usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/mintdrivers.mo | grep -A1 'msgid "Your computer does not need any additional drivers."'
msgid "Your computer does not need any additional drivers."
msgstr "Ihr Rechner benötigt einige zusätzliche Treiber."

Re: Incorrect Translation for Driver Management [German]
OK.... The current correct translation dates from July 2021, which is pretty recent:
Perhaps mintdrivers still uses the old German translation, which might have contained this error....
Code: Select all
27. English: Your computer does not need any additional drivers.
Current German: Ihr Rechner benötigt keine zusätzlichen Treiber.

Re: Incorrect Translation for Driver Management [German]
Well, jein (ja und nein).
Of course it's only really fixed when a new release of mintdrivers has been issued to Mint 20.2 that contains the fix....

Re: Incorrect Translation for Driver Management [German]
As of Mint 20.3 (or maybe slightly earlier) this seems to have been fixed.
How do I mark it as solved?
