My 2 year old Dell 17-3793 is showing 69% and still charging after many hours on charge.
Is this a problem with the battery or the charger?
This 85year old codger is out of his depth.

Re: Laptop charging problem
Hi
This could be battery first on the list. I think you can get he charger tested at a local PC repair shop or best buy and they would install the battery also not free of course.
If its the battery than here is a link for new one
https://www.amazon.com/BURFLO-Battery-I ... C81&sr=8-3

Re: Laptop charging problem
Thanks for getting back to me dave.
I'm happy to report that the following day things seemed to have got back to normal, so ok for the time being.
Thanks

Re: Laptop charging problem
If the laptop gets really hot shut it down. My other half had a Lenovo Yoda 920 for a few weeks it got really hot shut it down. Than we replaced it and I backup the Lenovo than after that one day was running than it died for good. It would have burn your hands if not careful.
