Warsow problem.

Post by Mike65 » Thu Jan 14, 2010 5:45 am

I was installed warsow with the software manager, but i ran into the following problem:

Code: Select all

----- R_Init -----
Using libGL.so.1 for OpenGL...Display initialization
..XFree86-VidMode Extension Version 2.2
..XFree86-Xinerama Extension Version 1.1
..Got colorbits 24, depthbits 24, stencilbits 8
do_wait: drmWaitVBlank returned -1, IRQs don't seem to be working correctly.
Try adjusting the vblank_mode configuration parameter.
Xinerama: Using screen 0: 1024x768+0+0
...setting fullscreen mode 4:
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 130 (XFree86-VidModeExtension)
Minor opcode of failed request: 17 (XF86VidModeGetGammaRamp)
  Value in failed request: 0x27
Serial number of failed request: 53
Current serial number in output stream: 53
And the game don't start. I'm using the radeon driver with the new (r600) 3d support. (ati hd3650)

The Warsow in the repos is an outdated version. I would download the unified zip from http://www.warsow.net/?page=download and run that. Just be sure to use the correct launcher or you'll have some issues; warsow.i386 for 32 bit and warsow.x86_64 for 64 bit. If that works I can post some instructions for creating a custom launcher so you can easily run it and add it to your menu but right now I've got to get to school.
