Headphone WH-CH500 mutes when the sound is too low

Hi:

I'm having a problem with my bluetooth headphones. When the volume goes below a certain threshold which I can't exactly put my finger on the headphones automatically mute.

I can get them unmuted by switching the volume up but this is not a viable solution, sepcially when being in calls.

Any idea?
