Wifi still doesnt work on mint, but connects, no protonvpn, dual boot

Still having the same problem I'm having here, and nothing solved it, and i'm really at a loss for what i could do

like I said we got a new adtran router dual band 2.4/5 and for some reason the wifi just wont work on linux. Works on windows just fine. On mint It connects but I get no internet from it. ping 8.8.8.8 returns nothing. Linux works on my school's wifi is perfect, had no problems on other routers. any help would be highly highly appriciciated. Thank you.

Install the 5.15 kernel in Update Manager, View, Linux Kernels.

If that's no help, maybe a newer iwlwifi driver:

Installed the new kernel and tried all but #6 iwlwifi driver from upstream because I was worried about problems with updates. Someone on the Linux IRC channel said that they thought it could be that my device wasnt assigned an IP address via DHCP. Any more ideas/ do you think that would help?

I then turned off wifi completely, restarted and entered linux, and nothing changed.

Should I do anything differently?

I'm not sure, but did you try this:

Tip: Did you forget to force Windows to release the IP address, and you don't want to boot Windows to do it as yet? Then simply boot Ubuntu or Linux Mint twice in a row. After the second boot of Ubuntu or Mint you can probably connect.

Sadly no, maybe someone else will. Did you try the wifi in a live session from your Mint install media to see if it works there?

If you haven't disabled Fast startup or Fast boot within your uefi/bios..ya need to do it there also..not just within Windows . It matters.
