Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon - bluetooth stack issues

Post by tuck1s »

I had issues with Bluetooth connection on an older CSR dongle, so replaced with a TP-Link UB500 adapter. Similar issues seen - connection to devices often gives errors.

Running bluetuith helps - at least it sees the devices, can mark them as trusted and can sometimes connect to my Apple Trackpad 2 (like one in every ten attempts). Most of the time it gives br-connection-create-socket error displayed in red at the bottom of the window. I think earlier Mint versions seemed more reliable, although I no longer have that installed. Other people viewtopic.php?p=2300470&hilit=br+connec ... t#p2300470 seem to have similar issues.

My workaround is to connect the Trackpad directly via USB cable, and it works perfectly in that mode.

Output from inxi -Fxxxrz below. Happy to run more diagnostics if that helps the team.
