br-connection canceled when trying to reconnect BT headset

Post by jaycee99 »

Hi,

My bluetooth headset is trusted and paired in LM, when i try to connect, I always get the error message "br-connection canceled" in my Blueman application. The headset connects, but right after the connect, it get disconnected. Strangely, it doesn't happen when I remove the device from Blueman, and then re-connect it via a BT scan.

Would you be so kind to help me solve this error message please?

I did a search on the firmware git and found there was Update firmware file for Intel Bluetooth AX200 on 17 Jan 2023. Check the date and version on your latest linux-firmware package to see if you have that change.

The information I found indicates linux-firmware_20220329.git681281e4-0ubuntu3.10_all.deb is the latest so you should have it, but check and make sure you have at least version linux-firmware-20230117. If you do not, I can give you directions to install it.

Also try a complete shutdown and restart of the computer to see if that helps reset the bluetooth.

Hi,

Could you guide me through the check on the firmware and how to install it please?
I've been researching a bit, but no decent solution found so far.
Thanks!

Open Synaptic Package Manager. Search for linux-firmware and see what it says you have installed (green square will be filled in). It is a standard package which should be installed on your system.

It looks like you have the latest version. Unfortunately, I do not have any other suggestions.

Maybe someone else will have suggestions.
