[SOLVED] wifi is unavailable

Post by lenny03 »

Hey, I am new to Linux. I have Linux Mint 21 installed. I never had issues with networking, but out of nowhere I am not capable of connecting to a wireless network, only ethernet is working. Secure Boot and Fast Boot are disabled and I have no idea what the problem is since it occured all of a sudden. :?

The command iwconfig outputs this:

Code: Select all

lo no wireless extensions.

enp7s0 no wireless extensions.

wlp3s0 IEEE 802.11 ESSID:off/any
          Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=off
          Retry short limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off

docker0 no wireless extensions.

vetha2f6aa5 no wireless extensions.
Maybe someone can help me fix it. I got a lot to learn.

We will need more details. Do you dual boot with Windows? Also, post what this shows:

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxxxrz && rfkill list && mokutil --sb-state

Is there an Fn & F key to turn wifi on, maybe F5? Or, a small switch front or side.

I googled your keyboard image & it looked like it might be Fn & F5. Glad it worked.
