I have a frustrating situation using Web Apps and Brave Browser.
I cannot get brave to use any web app with a navigation bar.
It can easily be done with Firefox though.
Is this 'n Brave limitation or am I missing something?
Kindly see Screenshot Picture for more clarity.
I would like to always use Brave as the company wide default.
The Left window is Web App with Firefox and the Right with Brave.
Settings does not seem to allow me?
Any guidance would be great.

Please tell us what flavor of mint you are using and also the source of brave package (i.e. apt, flatpak, ppa, etc.)

I use the newest LMDE (Elsie) and Brave Version is the official package from the Mint Software Manager...PPA?
Definitely NOT Flatpak...

Re: Web Apps - Nav. bar using Brave Browser?
i tried using Brave (flatpak) on my system and i have the same output as yours. Unfortunately, i have no idea how to configure
web apps
's custom parameter
sorry. But perhaps you can tweak the default launch command
of Brave using Edit Launcher
and add some flags that will suit your needs. Here are some flags for brave https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/arti ... -in-Brave-Re: Web Apps - Nav. bar using Brave Browser?
Thanks! I'll have a look and appreciate the help.
I had no idea that setting custom parameters is even possible...
Regards, B.

I have now spent a good while trying to figure out which of the hundreds of Command Line Flags to try and use...and I cannot find any good resource that explains which one I might use to have Web Apps open WITH A NAV BAR...Midnight True wrote: ⤴Tue Mar 28, 2023 6:43 am i tried using Brave (flatpak) on my system and i have the same output as yours. Does anyone have some experience with this. Any idea or info that we have perhaps missed?

Re: Web Apps - Nav. bar using Brave Browser?
In my experience, once the webapp has been created (and strictly speaking, that means that once the browser profile has been created), I could not change the nav bar setting.
I had the opposite problem, in that I'd created a webapp with Firefox as the browser and I did not select the option to have a navigation bar, so naturally I didn't get one. Try as I might, I could not retrospectively change or fix the profile, so that it would display one.
I ended up deleting the webapp, then creating it again with the settings that I wanted.

Re: Web Apps - Nav. bar using Brave Browser?
Having to delete and redo WebApps is also someting that I found to be fast and necessary sometimes...
I did not have any idea that the parameters could be changed/tweaked as to how it launches and what functions you can use etc...
It was mind-blowing to me...
