I have a KVM VM created on a newer version of virt-manager that uses the Shared Memory feature and added hardware File System feature that are not in the version on LMDE5.
Is there away to get the kvm software upgraded to a newer version or do I have to wait until LMDE6?

I'm afraid you'll have to.jfabernathy wrote:do I have to wait until LMDE6?
Don't think you can compile the source code of newer Virt Manager against Bullseye code-base.
And switching your software sources to Bookworm/Testing, y know, is not recommended.

What about adding the backports repository and working with that?
Re: Need newer virt-manager in LMDE5
There is apparently no bullseye-backports package for virt-manager.
Backports btw comes pre-activated on LMDE.
