Sound-Switcher-Indicator is not working at all

Hey folks, the problem is exactly as the title. I installed sound-switcher-indicator and it does nothing. I click it and nothing happens.

I found a [BUG] No option to add it to panel #131 of someone running Xbuntu 22.04.2 LTS. Maybe something in that discussion will give you ideas of something to check even though their situation sounds a little different.

This one sounds more like what is happening for you [BUG] Indicator not present on Gnome panel #126 .
