Screen turn black

Post by gvia66 »

Hello,
On Linux Mint 21.1 and Radeon RX 580
It happen in various games : affected Unreal Tournament (native recent port), The First Tree (GOG native), Project Sigma (Steam native).
I can play and after some minutes, screen turn black with no apparent reason (disconnect i hear the switch), and cannot turn on, i have to press REISUB + ALT + SysRq to restart computer, append both with HDMI or DVI output.
I don't know if it's OpenGL issue or not.

see my log files in my previous tread viewtopic.php?t=395910

Can you help me ?
Thanks

OOPs
just reread your post again, and I miss-understood the Problem...
someone else will have to help you.

=========

I also prefer a Solid Black Screen Background.

here is what you have to do.

Take you camera or cellphone and cover the lens so it cannot see any light at all.

Take a picture and then transfer that picture Image to your PC and name it BLACK

Now, highlight that Image, and Copy/Paste it into the PICTURES folder.

right click on the Screen > change background > select Pictures > Click on BLACK

the screen will instantly change to a Black background

I reinstall Geforce 1060 6Gb in place of Ati radeon RX 560 and it work great.
i think the bug was because the Radeon is PCIe 4x and my mother board PCIe 3x.
