Lenovo Slim 7i 14IRP8 almost fully working except for the High refresh rate

Hello I have been using this laptop which is a really new model: Lenovo Slim 7i 14IRP8 with I5-1340p and 2.8k 120hz Display panel and so far so good. Laptop runs 95% of the hadware with Linux Mint 21.1 and Kerenl 6.3.3-6.3.4 (using Mainline).
The only thing missing is to be able to recognize the 120hz refresh rate and be able to choose it or not. Could you please help me? I have tried different Kernels without any luck. Not sure if creating a new profile will do the trick but in any case this is the full xrandr for some help. Thank you so much!

You are already using the newest kernel available (which means you have the newest Intel graphics driver). I do not know what might be the factor in your hardware that a different refresh rate is not seen. Generally speaking, rates higher than 60 Hz are possible, but it depends on the hardware whether or not that happens.

I have doubts it would work, but you could try using xrandr to see if might work. Run the following in a terminal

Hey Thank you so much for your help. Unfortunately it did not work but I learned some good stuff with those command lines.
This is not a deal breaker to me as all the drivers and everything runs amazing it is just not ideal to have a 120hz panel and not be able to get that smoothness =(
I had the Intel 11gen mode of the same laptop and Mint 20.3 (at that moment) was able to recognize the 90hz panel. Anyways! I may need to wait a little longer to get the proper drivers..

There is one other method you can try but it's more complicated, which involves creating and testing a custom EDID for the laptop's display panel.

You have different hardware. Please post your system information in your topic. Some people have been able to get the proper refresh rates by just upgrading to a newer kernel so making xrandr changes may not be needed on your computer. We will not know that until you post your system information.
