Mint 21.1 fprint login does not display message nor password field - XPS17 9700

Post by steph68 »

Hello,

I installed fprint on a fresh Mint 21.1 install. It works very well (even better than before on Mint 20).

There is only one very enoying issue. The logon screen :
- does not display the message "put your finger on the sensor", "timeout"
- difficult or impossible to choose user accounts
- does not display password field after timeout
(I would love to post an image of it but print-screen does not work outside of a session AFAIK)

But if I put my finger on the sensor and press Enter, it starts the desktop. Then I need to provide the keystore password (not convenient, but it's a known limitation).

can someone help me ?
Thanks.
