I am running Cinnamon Mint 21.1. In update manger-->Refresh I get error every time as given in screen shot. How do I overcome it?

Can't read all the error, but it is undoubtedly a sources error of some sort.
Looks like you do not have a key to one of your sources.
The easy way is
Menu - Software Sources (password) - Maintenance - Add Missing Keys
& then try updating again.
If you still get the error then
Menu - Software Sources (password) - PPas' tab - untick the PPA for launchpad
Updating will now work.
If you still require that PPA then you will need to search Google to add it again..

Hello RIH,
I followed the steps you mentioned. The related ppa for launchpad was deadsnakes which I unclicked. Now the error has changed.
There is no ppa for VScode
