Re: Linux mint 21 wifi option not appearing. only ethernet
Yes, if you think it is. If it acts up again, just remove the 'Solved'.

Re: Linux mint 21 wifi option not appearing. only ethernet
Hey, so it's really awkward to say this but it happened again. Now sometimes after rebooting it connects and other times it doesn't show the wifi option. Also when the wifi is on, sometimes it'll also disconnect by itself suddenly.

Re: Linux mint 21 wifi option not appearing. only ethernet
p.s. something that i've noticed like an hour ago is that when i stay connected to the internet via ethernet, like right now posting this message, the wifi will start working. if i turn off the ethernet connection, the wifi remains connected, but if i disconnect the ethernet cable from the computer, my laptop freezes and i have to reboot.

Does it help to reload the driver:
Code: Select all
sudo modprobe -r ath9k && sudo modprobe ath9k && systemctl restart NetworkManager

Re: Linux mint 21 wifi option not appearing. only ethernet
I just ran the command. the wifi was on and it's still working after running the command. should i run the command when there is no wifi at all to really test it?
Re: Linux mint 21 wifi option not appearing. only ethernet
You can, but let's hope the wifi stays on now.

Re: Linux mint 21 wifi option not appearing. only ethernet
Hey so really sorry about this, but it seems that the wifi is acting up again. sometimes it's not connected to the wifi on boot up and other times it disconnects by itself over time of usage and other times it works just fine.
