epson stylus t20 ink levels

Hi , i am new in the forum. Two weeks ago i installed linux mint 8 in my computer . It intalled my printer Epson Stylus T 20 but it cannot show the ink levels . Can somebody help me in this issue. Thanks.

In the Package Manager, search for Epson . . the first two that pop up . . your choice!

or even inkblot

I know that this thread is well outdated but I have just tried mtink and escputil and neither work. Also, Inkblot as suggested by somebody doesn'tg exist. Reviving this issue might bring new ideas, he says, hopefully...and why doesn't LM remove these time wasting items?
