Anyone using Mint 8, Gnome edition, on a 12 inch laptop? How is it doing?
My first Mint 8 installation is to a 14 inch laptop, which probably will do OK. But I wonder about 12 inch.

I don't know about a 12 inch laptop, but I have run Mint 8 gnome on a 10 inch Acer netbook with no complaints.
