crash di Cinnamon con i font

Ciao,

ho un problema con l'installazione dei font.
Quando vado ad installare un font come ObelixPro ttf (scaricato da qui https://fontmeme.com/fonts/obelix-pro-font/),
Cinnamon crasha e si riavvia, ho provato anche con un altro ttf e succede la stessa cosa.

E' sufficiente fare doppio click sul ttf per far crashare Cinnamon, in alternativa ho provato da root a mettere il ttf in
usr\share\font\truetype, tutto ok ma quando apro font-viewer ("caratteri") e richiamo il font Obelix ecco che Cinnamon
si riavvia.

Ho Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon.

Ciao Jolly,

grazie per la risposta ma forse sono stato frainteso,
non ho mai avuto problemi ad installare font presi dai vari siti su linux mint,
con quest'ultima versione 21.1 invece Cinnamon crasha,
a volte con il semplice doppio click sul font ttf e
a volte dopo l'installazione richiamando il font con fontviewer.

Se hai Linux Mint 21.1 puoi provare se questo succede anche a te?

Provato, funzionamento regolare, non succede nulla.
Prova ad inserirli dentro la tua /home nella cartella ~/.fonts.

Grazie Paolo e Jolly per aver testato.

Paolo ho provato come hai detto, ho creato la cartella .fonts e messo li i ttf,
niente da fare, quando li apro con fontviewer c'è il crash di Cinnamon.
La cosa positiva è che comunque il font è installato correttamente, richiamando il
font con writer di libreoffice Cinnamon non si riavvia e non ho problemi.

Il programma "caratteri" di LinuxMint è "gnome-font-viewer" vers. 3.28,
provando a richiamare il font anche da terminale:

ottengo lo stesso risultato, crash di Cinnamon ...

Dove si può vedere il log dei crash di Cinammon?
Forse se riesco a capire che tipo di errore è ...

aggiorno:
- ho disinstallato gnome-font-viewer e reinstallato (sempre crash di Cinnamon)
- ho quindi installato un'altra applicazione font-manager, e con questa non ho nessun problema ad installare font
- ho lanciato gnome-font-viewer da terminale e nella ricerca di un font qualsiasi ho questo errore:
